Calorie tracking

Hello everyone! Since no one has posted for awhile, I thought I would just share a couple of neat things I found online in the way of calorie counters. After having my baby, I'm excited to find I can actually eat again and not get sick. But now all I want to eat is junk! So here are a few good resources for calorie tracking (and they're free too!):

A few of my friends have really gotten results using the calorie counter on this site. I haven't tried it myself, but I hear it can help you calculate most calories in home cooked meals depending on the ingredients.

This is the site I always use-- I track my fitness, water intake, and calories with this site.

Also, a couple of others:

A few of these sites have apps for iphone too if you are interested.

5 a day

Sorry everyone about last week.
This week we'll get back and do a nutrition challenge. I think the water went over really good for everyone. It was a challenge but I think once we all found what worked for us it was easy.
This week will be a little bit more challenging. We will work on getting 5 servings of fruits or vegetables in in a day.
It's harder than you think. And I think it really comes to the moms/wives in each home to have fruits and veggies available for the rest of the family.
Good luck everyone. Let me know how your getting them all in in a day. What you are choosing to eat. and if you have any fun recipes for a veggie or fruit let us all know.

And.... here it is

Hi guys! For those of you who were able to make it for Thanksgiving-- thanks! We had a great time with all of you and Joel has missed all the fun since you guys left.

Aubrey asked me to share this link with you. I love this test, and many of you have probably already taken it at some point. Click HERE to go to the test. Post in the comments what your results are-- since we are just taking the free version of the test we don't get the "in depth analysis", but I have the book and can fill you in if you are curious. It's always fun to see what couples are because there are sometimes some unlikely combinations.

So, go! Take the test, come back here and post in the comments if you'd like to know more about your/your spouse's color. (I have my theories as to what color everyone will be, so this will be interesting!)

It time to get to know yourself

Hi everyone. So last week was a little difficult. No one posted comments and I know it was hard on keeping any of the goals. This week is a good week for redemption. This week's goal is a personality test. I think it would be good for us all to identify how each of us works individually thus better understanding how to set realistic goals and to make them happen in our own lives. This way all you need to do is take the test and you get 6 points for the week. If you are okay with it I think it would be fun to post what color everyone is. Plus you can really work on the water/no pop and 15 min exercise and earn points for those goals too. Good luck. everyone.
PS we'll get the test link up asap. I asked Kristen to do it but sadly I don't know how to invite people to contribute. So as soon as I get that worked out we'll have it up.

15 minutes minimum

First I want to say thanks to all of you who commented and really tried to get that water intake for the day. Good job. Just get me those numbers and I'll get them posted. Keep going with the water this week. I just wanted to remind us all of pioneer juice. Keep drinking water and if you are getting sick of it maybe call it something else and it might help.
Okay, this next weeks change is exercise. We all know we need it. This is not for the goal to be skinny it's really all about being healthy. So the goal is to get at least 15min of active exercise in a day. More than that would be great but it needs to be at least 15 min to get a point. Good luck.

Goal for the week:
-at least 15 min exercise a day
-drink 62 oz water a day
-no pop!!

Water Week!!

Okay this is the week of water. Let's all drink 8 8 oz glasses or 62 oz of water a day. This is not to difficult especially if you cut out all the sugar drinks. That is the second part of this weeks challenge no Pop. If you absolutely need something other than water try a fruit juice but not too much. Juices are not all that much better sugar wise to pop.
goal:
-8 glasses/62 oz water a day
-no pop!!!

good luck everyone. remember you get one point per day you achieve the goal.

feel free to correct any thing i post and please write your experiences. How you are getting it to happen in your life.

Water!!!
